Unexpectedly passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the age of 59. Loving father of Brittany Tomkins (Daniel), step-daughter Crystal and step-son Michael. Dear brother to James, Harold, Brian, Walter, Wayne, William, Josephine, Rita, Florence and Rosemary. Predeceased by parents John and Annie, son John and siblings: Angela, Theresa and Gerald. John will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, especially best friends Tom and Betty. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 12-1pm, a memorial service will follow at 1pm in the funeral home chapel. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Liver Foundation in John’s memory.
