Joanne Marie O'Neill

After a courageous battle with cancer, Joanne O’Neill has sadly passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the age of 73. Joanne was a selfless, loyal, and loving person. She was beautiful inside and out. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, and gardening, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Joanne will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Charlie, her children Janice (Doug), Michael (Lori), and Sean (Meredith), her grandchildren Brendon (Stephanie), Cameron, Dillon (Karleigh), Carly (Ryker), Jack, and Heather, and her precious great-grandson Declan. She is also survived by her sister Alice Wyszynski and her brother Larry (Cathy) Van Groenigen. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Cornilus and Ida Van Groenigen, her brother Garry Van Groenigen, and her sister Anje Van Groenigen. As per Joanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, ON) from 1:00 p.m. to 2:55 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home’s chapel. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Society.
