Had to say goodbye to my best friend today I will never forget you and will always remember all the fun we had together

  I just want to share a little memory of Jason. Hower I did not know him personally, but I remember that he was very quiet and a nice guy. He was also a hard worker. I saw him from time to time. I send my deepest condolences to his relatives and friends.

You had such a kind heart   and soul, the heavens are blessed to have you now, and I was one of the lucky ones to be blessed to call you my friend  for so many years. When my brother David Dearlove died suddenly in 2011, Jason, "Inger", shared with me at David's memorial some really wonderful memories.  I didn't know Jason well, but my brother did, and I can feel for the loss Jason's family has suffered.  My sincerest condolences. 

I had the pleasure of working with Jason at Wendy's.  He was my grill guy.  Always prepared Curtious and dedicated.  Jason was always willing to do whatever needed to be done, even if it wasn't his job.  I never worried about things being done and done right when Jason was working.  He was by far the best employee and friend I have ever worked with.  My condolences to his family and friends.  He did give me happy memories that I will always carry with me, as I am sure he did for you all as well.  Be free Jason it's all roses from now on buddy.💖🌹🌹

Jason is my best friend who I miss so very much that words aren't enough to describe it. I will never forget when we went to see Iron Man 2 in theaters with two other friends it was completely full inside and we were near the front of the screen, there was a kissing scene and it was so quiet in there you could hear a pin drop all of a sudden Jason laughs and says can we do that, everyone in there burst out laughing so hard. It is my most favourite and cherished memory I have and I will never forget how much fun we always had together

Knowing Jason was a pleasure and  he will be missed terriably.  He was always upbeat every time I saw him he had a huge smile on his face. Every year my sister and I would  look forward to exchanging gifts with Jason at Christmas since we would always receive the most creative gifts wrapped in wrapping paper that always had Jason’s face on it which always made us laugh.  We will both miss him dearly.   

Jason you will be forever missed and never forgotten and I will keep the memories we shared in my heart forever Rest In Peace my friend and to the Ng family sorry for your loss

I worked with Jason at Galaxy Cinemas from 2005-2006. I don’t think anyone would disagree with me when I say that out of all of the employees there, Jason was the one who took his role the most seriously. To some it was a part-time job, but to Jason it was like a pure extension of who he was as a person, and that was something he wasn’t ever going to do halfway. What seemed at first like a quirk is something that I now understand was a demonstration of principle and wisdom. Through his dedication to being a good human being, Jason taught me something very important about staying true to your beliefs and who you are in whatever context you find yourself. 

I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I will miss seeing him at the usher stand. I wish his family and friends strength as they find their way together through this difficult time.  

I am a friend of Jason's and worked with him at Wendy's. Jason had the heart and soul of an angel while here on earth he's certainly an angel in heaven now.  Jason will be truly missed by many people who's lives he has touched. He was a sweet, kind and generous man. My deepest condolences to his family during this very difficult time.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Jason for 11 years, 5 of which was when we were coworkers at Cineplex. He was a dedicated and hard worker, I don’t think I ever remember a time when he missed a shift. I remember cleaning theatres together and chatting about the movies we had or wanted to see or the girl he had a crush on and what gift or trinket he was thinking of getting her. 

He had the biggest heart and the kindest soul of anyone that I’ve met, he’s never missed a birthday or an event he had the time to attend and would always bring a gift big or small it was always thoughtful. 

I last saw him on my birthday last year I was 39 weeks pregnant with my son and even tho I felt terrible (pregnant and in the hottest part of summer) he was so sweet to tell me that I was glowing (I joked it was sweat from either the heat or nausea lol). 

I will miss him as will Cambridge and Cineplex has gained a true star. 


I worked with Jason for about 10 years at Galaxy Cambridge. Jason was one of a kind. A really great guy who always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He cared so much for the people around him and it really showed.

My mother was in a terrible car accident a few years ago, and without fail, every single time I saw him after that accident he asked how she was doing. No matter what, or where I saw him, he always asked. He always thought of her and was so kind to ask how she was doing.

When he heard I was getting married, he found out which theatre I was working at, a theatre I had just started working at, and brought me a wedding gift. He was the most thoughtful person.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Jason was a great person and we are all better for knowing him. 

So many memories.  We are sitting tonight smiling and laughing as we share stories. That was the type of person you were, making everyone smile and laugh.  You were the most generous person I knew.  You never forgot a birthday.  You would get cards and gifts.  A lot of people have kept them over the years and are grateful they still have them.  You brought food to our events as that is the type of person you were.  
You remembered the little things about everyone you knew and would ask how things were or what was new. 
It was always surprising when you worked how many people knew you.  You said hi to everyone and took the time to chat and catch up.
You loved the Flames and loved to talk about no matter how they were doing.  
We could hear that big hearty laugh during breaks and knew something funny was going on.
It's very hard knowing we will not see you or hear that laugh.  
I will laugh often, be generous and kind, and enjoy the things I love most in life.  Just like you did.  

I worked with Jason at Galaxy in 2010 and 2011. I knew who he was for years, as he was always the usher who wouldn't let me in underage (I'm laughing.) Jason always cared about work and I feel he gave his all every day, I always saw him working hard. Once I was part of the usher team with him, I realized how important it was to ID people. Funny how that comes back around. We had some really good times there, we had a work softball tournament and we won, we also went to the arcade, went to staff screenings and had some lunch together too.

A big memory I have is I had a kegger party and one year he came by (late in the night because he had a long day at both jobs, J was THE working man), and he came and brought so much food and pop for people there. I never asked him to bring anything, and a lot of people didn't but he came with tons. I didn't ask him, but he did it anyway. That's the type of guy he was. very selfless!

I loved when he would talk to me about the flames, and how much he wanted them to smash the leafs when I knew he was going to games. Jerome Iginla is one of my favourite players too, and he was the biggest flames fan I knew. Hockey was always a big passion of his.

I didn't see Jason as much over the last few years. As life goes on, we mean well but of course we get busy with life. When I would see him, I would make sure we would sit down and catch up. He's honestly one person I cannot think of a bad thing he ever did, and I knew him for years. 

I will always miss you man. 


several years back. I shared three years of my life with this man working for Galaxy cinemas.  he never missed a day no lol not really.  very kind helpful although shy at times.  he Never spoke bad of anyone in my presence ,you know the typical gossip most employees participate in, he was never one to bash. He was always willing to help out and did joke on the occasion and we shared laughs. This man was one of the rare people who come into your life without question that always leaves an impact and always smiles.  I appreciate that I knew him and wish his family peace for the future, for he may be gone but shall Never ever be forgotten. 

Went to high school with Jason and he was a regular customer of mine for his vehicle repairs.  Will miss our conversations. Great guy.

We are all better people for having had Jason in our lives.
You will forever be missed, and never forgotten.


Jason , I am so saddened to know that I will never see you again walking down the street towards our homes with your box of Krispy Kreme donuts to share with all of us or talking hockey in the driveway.😥

I used to work with Jason at the galaxy Cinemas at the cambridge center along time ago. I worked behind the counter and he would work at the stand by telling people where thier movie is. He loved Calgary Flames. I remember going to Calgary with my mom, and I went to a store and Jason gave me his money so that I can get him his spring Calgary Flames jacket for him. He appreciated it.
