77, of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2015 at Grand River Hospital, from heart complications. Born June 16, 1938 in Reading, England, to William and Olive (Gardner) Childs. Survived by his wife Marlena (Smith), sons Stanley (Ellie) and Michael, grandchildren Zachary, Megan, and Rebecca, siblings John (Agnes) and Kay (John), nephews John and Robert Childs, John and David deBoer, and David Sauriol, and predeceased by his father William, mother Olive, and sister Rita (Ed). As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
