Jack was a friendly, creative, and helpful man who would do anything for anyone. He was an avid gardener, excellent cook, and fan of sports, especially soccer, baseball, and hockey. Jack was also a talented craftsmen and created many beautiful woodworking pieces over the years. After serving in the British Merchant Navy for five years and immigrating to Canada, he worked as a tradesman for Babcock and Wilcox for 32 years. Jack was a member of the Hespeler Legion Branch #272 and the UK Club in Cambridge. Jack will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret Ann Peers, son Malcolm (Cindy) Peers, daughter Sandra Peers, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many more nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Jack was predeceased by his parents, and is the last of 6 brothers. A visitation will be held at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Road, Cambridge) on Tuesday, May 14th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
