Passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 7, 2018 following a long battle with dementia. Ruth has now rejoined her husband Albert (1964).
Loving mother to Shirley (Tom), Marcy, Mary Ann Thomas, Barbara Weber and George Townsend. Devoted grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Della and Roy Longthorne, brother Claire and sister Blanche. Born on May 28th, 1930, Ruth was a hard worker with a heart of gold who would always be there when needed to help anyone. She was known for her beautiful smile which she had up to the end. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Coutts Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 1 – 2 pm at the Salvation Army Citadel (12 Shade St. Cambridge) with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm.
