Helen was always a joyful person who never complained and lived a happy life with a great sense of humor and a definite independence. She loved the Muskoka area and spent many summers enjoying cottage life with family and friends. She was a voracious reader and at the age of 95 she was reading books on quantum physics and used her computer for emailing up to the age of 99. Helen’s death was preceded by her husband, Tom Gordon’s death in 1979. Helen loved to travel and experienced many tours to all parts of the world. She also loved playing Bridge with her friends and in the spring and fall she would delight in going to Stratford as a member of the Shakespeare Club. She was so very close to her sisters Jean and Evelyn who have now passed and her brother Bill, and this sense of togetherness brought their families close together as well. Helen was proud to say she had 22 descendants, her sons Rob & Alan, her daughter Jean, and their families. Helen lived a long and happy life and we are all thankful for that. As per Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place when driving conditions improve and stabilize.
