Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 29th, 2014 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in his 86th year. He is united once again with his cherished son Nazzareno (1963). Beloved husband to Maria Antonia for 59 wonderful years. Dear father to Carmen, Maria (Erik) Vander Ahe and Gelsomina (Gianpaolo) Marini. Proud Nonno to Alisha, Jasmine, Kristen, Bianca and Cristiano. Survived by siblings: Dominic (Lina), Angelo and Antonia (Vincenzo). Predeceased by sister-in-law Santina (2013). He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Giovanni was a deeply devoted member to St. Patrick’s Parish for many years. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day on Friday, August 1st, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Parish at 10:30am. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society of Ontario or to St. Patrick’s Parish.
