Gerard "Sam" Brian Knack

With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Sam Knack passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the age of 66. Sam was known for being an outgoing and happy guy who was always talking and laughing. He was everybody’s friend. You could often find him at the pub, enjoying the social aspect of the place just as much as the beer. Sam was a member of the Preston Legion Branch #126, and was also an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football on TV. He loved to spend time with his family, once taking them on a cross-country RV adventure, but also spending countless weekends swimming, laughing, and having fun. Sam will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his loving partner of 26 years, Linda Power, sons Scott Knack (Ashley) and Jason Knack (Desiree), step-son Abram Schiedel, and his grandchildren Brooklyn, Logan, Brayden, and Sierra. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation at Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge) on Monday, October 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home's chapel at 1:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Lisaard House.
