Ethel Margaret Lichty

July 18, 1928 – August 13, 2018

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandma, and Great-Grandma.

Predeceased by husband, Howard (2013), parents Calvin and Melissa Gowing, brothers Earl, Kelly, Lavern, Milt, and sisters Vera Timbers and Arletta Gowing. Devoted mother to Barbara (Doug) MacMillan, Kalvin (Darlene), Gary (Olga), Paul (Tammy), Jamie (Kim), and Janet (Dave) Pelley; loving Grandma to 13 and Great-Grandma to 14 and sister-in-law of Marge Gowing and Elane and Norman Snider. Mom volunteered at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Gift Shop for over 30 years. The family wishes to thank Pat, Joanne and Donna for their assistance and support during this time.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Monday, August 20, 2018 for a Celebration of Life Gathering from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
