Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday August 26, 2015. Loving wife of Fred MacNeil and cherished mother of Brian MacNeil (Wendy), Neil MacNeil (Angela) and Paul MacNeil (Keri). Elaine will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and Great grandchildren, brother Allan La Croix along with many Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Emma La Croix (Holroyd), her brothers Arthur and Jack as well as sisters Rose, Ruth and Barbara. A lifelong resident of Preston, Elaine was a longtime employee of Wragge Shoe and Genesco Shoe. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial visitation and Celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario N3H 3J9 (519)-653-3251 on Tuesday September 1, 2015 from 9 am until time of Service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
