Alma Scherer of St. Luke's Place, Cambridge, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of Roy (predeceased April 18, 1993). Dear mother of Bob and wife Janet, Barb and husband Andy, Bonnie and husband Bill, Rick and wife Valerie. Lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Alma was born on September 2, 1919 in Galt, and was a lifelong resident of Preston. Friends and family will be received by her immediate family on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, visitation 10:00 a.m., service 11:00 a.m., with luncheon to follow the service. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Canadian Cancer Society of Ontario, Alzheimer Society and are greatly appreciated by her family.
