Doris Eileen Gregory

GREGORY, Doris (Renie) nee Alderton – Renie passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with her daughter at her side. Renie was in her 90th year. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) in 1987 and a sister Audrey (Donald Graham) in 1998. She was the daughter of William Henry Alderton and Agnes Daisy Eustace. Renie immigrated to Canada from England with her husband and daughter in 1957. Renie is survived by her daughter June Kanmacher (Ben), granddaughters Laurie Spira (John) and Karen Main (Glen) and great grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Chelsey, Caleb, Mallory and Jared. She is also survived by a niece Patricia Thompson and a nephew David Graham. Renie was an employee of Savage Shoes when she retired. She will be missed by her very special friend June Hyde, and also Evonne, Brenda and many of her good neighbours. Special thanks to the nurses on the 5th floor who cared for her during her two weeks stay in the hospital.

Cremation has taken place and family will be holding a private interment. A celebration of Renie’s life will take place at a later date.
