Dennis Milton Whetham

It is with great sadness that the family of Dennis M. Whetham announces his passing at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on Friday, October 19, 2018. Dennis was in his 64th year. Dear husband of Debi Bakerman and dear father of Burgundi Garst (Kevin Di Pietro), Jodi Whetham (Melissa LaFlamme), and Bradie Whetham. Beloved Son of the late Agnes and Harvey Whetham. Loving Grandfather of Cierra, Tessa, Teague, and Daisy. Dear Brother of the late John Whetham (Pat), Marlene Krebsz (John), Jerry Whetham (Judy), Glen Whetham (Linda), Twin sister Doreen Breen (Jim), Brenda O’Toole (Martin), Brian Whetham (Debbie), Neil Whetham (Lynn). Step Father of Ashleigh and Shane Bakerman. Dennis is survived by 24 nieces, nephews, and their children. Dennis enjoyed a life-long career as the owner/operator of Whetham’s Auto Service. Since his retirement he spent his days at his beloved Miltondale Farm in Puslinch, Ontario. Dennis was a member of the Board of Directors of the Galt Sportsman’s Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt, fish, and had a love for classic cars. Dennis will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Friends and family are welcome to Coutts Funeral Home located at 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, ON on Tuesday, October 23 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 24 at 1:30pm with a one hour visitation prior. Burial to follow at Mountview Cemetery.
