Passed away peacefully at Lanark Heights Long Term Care Home Hospital on August 3, 2019 with his daughter at his side. Beloved Husband of the late of Janice Aikin (2009). Dearly missed by his daughter, Julie and husband George Pisano and his son, Craig and wife Ysabelle Pelletier. David is also survived by his two grandchildren Tessa and Anthony whom he loved and cherished as he watched them grow up. David enjoyed tinkering with many things in his life and was always able to think out of the box to find solutions to problems in creative ways. He loved dogs and after his retirement from the Kitchener Schneider’s Meat Packaging plant in 1998, he could be running errands with his furry co-pilots around Cambridge. Deep, heartfelt gratitude and thanks are given to the exceptional staff on Pine floor at Lanark Heights. They cared for David with compassion, care and dignity over the past 18 months and were a source of peace and comfort for his family. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre located at 96 St. Andrews Street in Cambridge on Thursday, August 15th from 11am-12pm with a Memorial Service in the chapel beginning at 12pm. A reception will be held in the lounge following the service. In memory of David, donations may be made to the Humane Society or the Alzheimer’s Society, in lieu of flowers. Online condolences may be made at www.couttsfuneralhome.com.
