After a brief and courageous battle with Cancer, Cynthia passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Innisfree Hospice in Kitchener, Ontario on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the age of 84.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Norman Vernon (February 16, 2022), loving mother of Gary (Julie) Vernon and Hayley (David) Gillis. Adored grandmother of Kayla Vernon, Elliott Vernon (Natalie Kornas), David (Janell) Scott, Stephen Scott, Kenton Gillis (Carissa Prociuk) and great granddaughter Lily Scott. Sadly missed by her sister-in-laws, Maureen Simpson and Ann Vernon, nieces Claire Warburton and Sally-Ann Howard. Predeceased by her parents Don and Faye Jackson, brother-in-law Kenneth Vernon, nephew Kerry Vernon, niece Collette Vernon and brother-in-law David Simpson.
Cynthia was born in Altrincham England and immigrated to Canada with Norman and family in 1969. After 30 years Cynthia retired from Eatons in the cosmetic department. They enjoyed travelling and spending their winters as snowbirds in Florida and in the summers enjoyed being on the St. Lawrence River in Brockville Ontario.

An open house Celebration of Life for Cynthia and Norman Vernon will be held Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at Coutts Funeral Home, Cambridge, Ontario from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.
