Our family is deeply saddened to announce that Connie Hughes (nee Hindley) passed away peacefully last Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the age of 65.
Born on April 9, 1951, to Joseph and Irene Hindley, Connie grew up in rural Rockwood, Ontario. She always enjoyed the serenity of nature and later in life her favourite place was at her cottage on Lake Belwood near Fergus. She had a fulfilling career in administration and worked at the University of Guelph.
Connie’s life was full of love and family. She spent 41 years married to her devoted husband Grant, the true love of her life. With him by her side, Connie enjoyed the adventure of raising four children and even got to welcome six grandchildren into the world. She always took great pleasure from the simple joys of life whether it be a dog’s companionship, a cuddle with a baby, dancing or enjoying a chuckle at one of her husband’s many jokes. Her smile lit up many rooms, her warmth brightened many days.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Grant; her children and children-in-law Natalie & Ted Sinasac, Jackie & Mark Roberson, Michelle & Manuel Amado, Matthew and Gretta Hughes; her grandchildren Riley, Avery, Ryder, Brielle, Gabriella, Leo; and her dog Docker.
Our joys will be greater
Our love will be deeper
Our lives will be fuller
