Chester Wheaton was born November 29, 1928 in Middle Sackville, NB and passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on February 18, 2023. Chester leaves Barbara, his beloved wife of 73 years, his 2 children Faye of Cambridge and Byron (Jackie) from Kingston, his four grandchildren, Laura (Kingston), Benjamin (Toronto), Esther (Dave) of (Kitchener), Mark (Catherine) of (Metcalfe) and two delightful great grandchildren, Cassie and Daniel. Chester is also survived by 2 brothers, Clair (Pat) and Ronald both of Sackville, NB, several loving in-laws living in Sackville, NB and SK., and many nieces and nephews.
Chester was predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Nettie (Stiles) Wheaton, his 3 brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, and Orlie and his sister, Florence.
Chester was an active member of Hespeler Baptist Church, a retired millright from INCO (now Vale) in Sudbury, an avid gardener, and a skillful handyman. His acquired skills in building and repairing enabled him to serve family members and missionaries in Quebec, Ontario, and Guatemala.
Visitation will be on Feb 24, 2023 from 7-9 PM at the Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St Andrews St,
Cambridge ON. A service of worship and thanksgiving for the life of Chester Wheaton will be
held at Hespeler Baptist Church on Saturday Feb 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM. The service will be
livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/live/hpFqQ_TJEiw?feature=share.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Chester to Northern Canada Evangelical Mission at https://ncem.ca/donate with a memo designating their TV program Tribal Trails or to the charity of your choice.
