With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Carol Ann Erny passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 67. Carol was the ultimate motherly figure, even to those who weren’t her children. She was so patient and calm, humble and loving, and always there for you if you needed to talk. She cooked a lot, and loved to feed people. Her famous pork roast dinners with whipped potatoes and gravy were divine! Carol really knew how to stretch a dollar, and was known for feeding large groups of people with very few materials. Somehow, she always made things work. Carol looked for the good in people, and preferred to focus on the positive things in life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, drinking a cup of her favourite Red Rose tea, and dancing. Carol often joked that her toes were curled due to the many times she crammed them into her dancing shoes. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 39 years, Hans Erny. She is also survived by her children Patricia Montgomery (Dave), Lois Paul, Priscilla Montgomery, Shelly Montgomery (Scott), Matthew Erny (Sherry), and Rachelle Parsons (Mark), grandchildren Chantelle, Randy, Stacie, Richard, Jesse, Ashley, Kayla, Aspen, Shylee, Leah, Lauryn, Lucas, and Keira, seven siblings, and two great-grandsons. Carol was predeceased by her cherished grandmother Ida, parents Dorothy Logan and Arthur Beaumont, brother Ron Solotwinski, son-in-law Randy, and her beloved dog Grizzy. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, February 21st from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at T. Little Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Parklawn Cemetery, and friends and relatives are invited back to the funeral home for a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Salvation Army. Our family would like to extend a special thank-you to Doctor Singh, Doctor Ali, Doctor Macie, and the ICU nurses at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion they showed to Carol.
It breaks our hearts to say goodbye. We love you so much.
And yes, we know you’re saying, “I love you more!”
