Bernard Walter McCann

Passed away peacefully at Lisaard House, Cambridge, Ontario on Wednesday January 1st, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at age 86. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Hodgkins). Cherished father to Marsha Beaver (Michael) and father-in-law to Jim Long. Dearly loved Papa to Tara (Mike), Eric and Kristen (Marc) and Great Papa to Owen and Tessa. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Druie McCann and daughter Wendy Long. Bern was a lifelong member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Cambridge, Past Master of Windsor Lodge A.F.& A.M. #403, Associated with Preston Lodge A.F & A.M #297 G.R.C. Member of Mocha Temple, London, Ontario and an avid lover of trains. Family will receive friends at BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519 653 3251) on Sunday January 5th, 2014 for visitation from 3-5pm and 7-8pm. Masonic service to take place on Sunday at 6:30pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday January 6th, 2014 at St. John’s Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge, at 1pm. Cremation to follow. A special Thank You to all the caregivers at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Lisaard House and CCAC. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Lisaard House, Canadian Cancer Society or Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
