Arlene 'Sis' Marie Tanner, RN

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 following a brave struggle with multiple illnesses. Arlene will be forever remembered by her loving husband of 50 years David, Daughter Kathy (Todd Balke) and son Kris Tanner. Devoted grandma to Chantelle, Liam and Grace Balke and Brody Tanner. Sister to Doug and Larry (Joan), sister-in-law to Glenda (John) Weatherston, niece to Wray Smith, Danny Dyment (Sharon) and Jean Rappolt. Predeceased by her parents Bruce and Myrtle Smith of Rockton brother Harold Smith. Arlene was a proud member of the class of '65, went on to South Waterloo Memorial Hospital (Cambridge), K-W Nursing Registry and served with Guelph VON for 15 years. She will be dearly missed by many extended family and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. G. Achtymichuk and all the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital ICU and 3B for the care and support over the years. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 2 - 4 pm at Lynden Legion Branch 500 (208 Lynden Rd, Lynden, On). Donations made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
