Anne Townsend

In her 94th year, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, August 11th, 2016, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Anne was born on February 5th, 1923 in Widnes, England to Joseph and Mary Lipcar. Anne immigrated to Canada in 1979 to be with her daughters and their families. Beloved wife to her late husband George. Devoted and caring Mum to her two daughters, (Bernadette) June Farrow (d.2011) and husband Derek, and Patricia Roberts and husband John. Anne will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Bill and sister Agnes in England, along with many extended family. Predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Kitty, Mary and Joan. Adored Nana of Debbie (Jeff), Gillian (Jeff), Paul (Charlene), Sharon (Mike) and Lesley (Chris). Will be fondly remembered by her nine great-grandchildren, Linsey, Brandon, Haley, Autumn, Emma, Chloe, Abby, Payton and Matthew. Anne will be greatly missed and always remembered for her genuine devotion to her family. Cremation to take place, followed by a private family service.
