Died at the Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, Ontario from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Allick was born in Guelph, Ontario to Robert Roy Miller and LuLu Buchan, the youngest of five brothers. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eleanor (Leny) and daughters Gisele and Krista as well as his brother Ted, sister-in-law Edna and many nieces and nephews. Allick began his working career as a textile salesman with Dobbie Industries of Galt (now Cambridge) where he and Eleanor made their home. He later began his own business, initially in partnership with Ken Mathews, and was beloved by many of his customers throughout Southern Ontario. Allick was an elder at St. Giles' Presbyterian Church where he provided guidance and support to many members of the congregation. For many years he was an active member of the Ancient Mariners Canoe Club, Allick was also an avid hiker having completed the Bruce Trail, end to end, and Hadrian's Wall in northern England together with Eleanor. Many thanks for the love and care provided by all the staff of Fairview Mennonite Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Westside Presbyterian Church, 130 Victoria Ave, Cambridge. Reception to follow at Allick and Eleanor's home.
