Born April 22 1932 in Timmins Ontario and died August 20th, 2011.
Phil left Canada with his parents in 1939 and they settled in Johannesburg, South Africa. He returned to Canada in 1956, met and married Audrey in Central Church, Galt in 1957. They moved to South Africa in 1968 with their 4 children Keith, Paul, Dean and Heather. In 2008 Phil and Audrey again returned to Canada-3 of their children and families preceding them. The eldest son still remains in South Africa. As per Phil’s wishes no visitation will be held. Cremation has taken place. A family celebration of his life will take place at a later date. He leaves behind 2 sisters in South Africa and 8 grand-children. Many thanks to all the staff and volunteers of Lisaard House for their wonderful care and dignity they gave to Phil and the compassion and comfort to the family.
