It is with sadness we announce the death of Abraham Krikorian at St. Luke’s Place, Cambridge on December 20th at the age of 89. Abe was predeceased by his mother, father and older brother George. Abe lost his wife, Valerie, several years ago. He is survived by his daughter Sharon Galley (Roger), his son, Peter and his sister Margaret Willrich (Derwyn). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. Also grieving are his granddaughter Kristen Galley Johnson (Brock Johnson) and his grandson, Brennan Galley (Eva McMillan). We wish Abe had had the joy of meeting his great-granddaughter, Isla Grace Maritza Johnson who was born on March 15, 2016.
Abe loved all these people more than anything else in the world.
Abe was born in Hamilton, Ontario in January of 1926. He served in the RCAF in World War II. He worked for CHCH-TV and then taught at Mohawk College until his retirement. Abe was an accomplished artist and participated in the Cambridge Studio Tour.
Abe’s family will forever be thankful for the care he received from the dedicated St. Luke’s Place staff. Expressions of condolence may be sent to the St. Luke’s Place Foundation.
There will be a private Celebration of Life for family and friends on Sunday, May 29th at St. Luke's Place.
