Valerie was a very dedicated mother, grandmother and auntie. She loved hard and always expressed her love to her kids, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She even had pet names for all of them: Poopy, Putput, Prince #1, Prince #2, Keify Weify and so on. Valerie enjoyed quality time with her loved ones.
When God called Valerie home, July 1, 2013, she was surrounded by her loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her three children: Montel, Marvis and Carmenia (Clarence); her sister, Veronica; her adopted sister and brother: Talecia and George; her four grandchildren: Brandon, Amarie, Tyrese and Torian; her nieces: Angel, Ajanae, and Mekiala; and her nephews: Mark, Keith and Kyle and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Hennessy-Nowak Funeral Home, Calumet City, IL,
