Yuk Lan Wong, went peacefully to be with her Lord on November 4, 2010 at the age of 100 years. Yuk Lan was born in China on September 20, 1910. She came to Canada to join her husband in 1972. They ran a coffee shop together in Winnipeg for many years. Yuk Lan then moved to Calgary in 1984 where she resided until her passing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Yuk Lan was predeceased by her husband George and eldest son Shee Tong. Yuk Lan is survived by her son Shee Kuong(So Ching); daughter-in-law Oi Ling; daughter Moiry in China; three grandsons Ken(Joyce), Chi(Anne), Tom(Heidi); four granddaughters Delly(Benson), Annie, Winnie(Danny), and Po; ten great grandchildren Eric, Amanda, Brendan, Jordan, Justin, Melanie, Caitlin, Maggie, Matthew and Nathan. She is also survived by her sister Mei Kwai(Pat Toy) of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Jeon Mar of Vancouver; nephews Randy and Ken Yan of Calgary. Yuk Lan was a loving and generous person who lived life to the fullest. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street NW, Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, November 12, 2010 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10am. Interment will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
