William was born in Nelson, BC, to Robert and Geraldine on March 29, 1964. He grew up in Canal Flats, BC, and spent much of his time playing hockey, hunting, logging, and exploring nature on horseback, foot and anything with wheels.
At the age of 20, he had his first child Alicia, beginning his journey as a father. He trained as a heavy-duty technician in Nelson, BC, where he met Donna Focht, his loving partner of 33 years. Together they had two children, Ray and Myla. William was a proud father, hockey coach, hunting partner, one-man personal moving company and a father figure to many. He was a man of many hobbies, who loved the great outdoors- nothing could keep him from his next adventure.
William worked as a heavy-duty technician at SMS Equipment in Fort McMurray, AB, for many years, and was looking forward to a retirement filled with hunting, fishing and adventurous travel with friends and his growing family.
William is survived by his partner Donna Focht; children Alicia (Craig), Ray ( Amy) and Myla (Yukitake); grandchild Linden; he is also survived by his father Robert (Sylvia); brother Robert (Marie) and sister Ramona. William is predeceased by; his mother Geraldine; and grandmother Gertrude Lister.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Mackie Lake House, 7804 Kidston Road, Coldstream, British Columbia.
