Bill was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up in the small town of Southampton, Ontario. He attended Western University where he received a degree in Geology. He moved to Regina, Saskatchewan in 1955 to start his long career with Imperial Oil which led to positions in Dawson Creek, Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto. Bill met his wife Valerie in Dawson Creek, British Columbia and they were married in 1959. Bill retired from Imperial Oil in 1989. He and Val have had a long happy retirement full of volunteer work, golf, time with family and friends, travels, and winter getaways.
Bill will be greatly missed by his wife Valerie of 63 years; his daughter Megan; son Randy (Susan); grandson David (Natasha), granddaughters Allison and Lindsay; and great granddaughter Elliot.
A celebration of life will be planned for later this summer in Calgary.
