William will be lovingly remembered by his eight children; Susan (Ed), Tom (Laura), Joyce (Bob), Bonnie, Mary Jane (Bert), Donna (Rick), Jerry and Dale; 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Susanna as well as brothers, Jackie, Tony and Joe. William was born in Cigand Zemplen, Hungary and immigrated to Byemoor, AB in 1931. After moving to Abbortsford, BC., he met Mary and started their family in 1948. In 1952, they relocated to Calgary where he lived for the remainder of his life. William was employed at the Bay downtown Calgary as a butcher for 35 years. Later, he became co-owner of Bonton Meat Market and worked there until his retirement at the ripe old age of 80 years. William and Mary were involved in the Seniors Bowling League for several years. They also spent a great deal of time camping and travelling. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
