It is with gratitude for a long life well lived and for a peaceful ending that we announce that William, is amongst the angels at the age of 105. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, volunteer, and world traveler. William was a great friend, was a kind and tender soul with a big heart. William was predeceased by his beloved wife Zena, who passed away in 2018. He is survived by his 4 sons Terence Andrade (Deanna), Clarence Andrade, Lawrence Andrade and Christopher Andrade (Germaine); 3 daughters Jennifer Noronha (Neil), Nilofer Fernandes (Ralph) and Zenwill Sequeira (Anselm); his 12 grandchildren Tania, Holly (Ivan), Leann (Jared), Tamara, Sophia (Joel), Natasha (Sameer), Ryan, Warren, Brad, Marisa (Rick), Megan and Ashley; and his great-grandchildren Mariah, Kassiah, Isaiah, Kedah, Benjamin, Andrew, Joshua, Sadie and J.J.
William was born in Mangalore, India, and moved to Karachi in the early 40’s, he then immigrated to Calgary in 1982 and started a seniors club CANOSCA in 1985 which was very dear to his heart. Dad moved to Extendicare Cedars Villa in 2018 to be near our mom; unfortunately, Mom passed away 2 months later. The staff at Cedars Villa were kind and compassionate and deserve great respect always.
A Visitation will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate) on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The City of Calgary Vaccine Passport Bylaw 65M2021 requires all individuals attending funeral services to provide COVID-19 proof of vaccination, or proof of a privately-paid negative test result taken within 72 hours of service, or documentation of medical exemption.
A private family Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, (15 Templebow Road N.E.), on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a private Graveside Service at Queens Park Cemetery. For those wishing to join via livestream, please visit https://youtu.be/sRODWip8qts
