She leaves to mourn her adored grandchildren Kai (Cheryl), Ayla, Theresa, Matthew and Megan and great-grandson Nicholas, and their parents, son Kenneth (Judy) Morrison, daughter Susan (Grant) Rodgers and Ross (Margaret) Thomas. She is also survived by sister-in-law Anne Schow. Vivian was predeceased by her loving husband Kenneth (2003); her only sister Doris Davis (2002) and brother-in-law Norman Davis (2004) and her only brother Chris Schow (1992), as well as her beloved dog Spike. Vivian was born June 11, 1927 in Standard, AB to parents Axel Christian Andersen Schow and Jenny Johanna Schow (nee Ludvig). She married Kenneth Otterburn Morrison in Iddesleigh, AB on June 16, 1956, and they lived most of their married life together in Calgary. She worked in several positions prior to the birth of her children, and after that worked on census, Avon, and many years at various flea markets. She served 14 years as editor for the First Canadian Collectors Club’s newsletter.
A Memorial Service will be held at Highwood Lutheran Church, 419 Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined; however, donations in Vivian’s memory may be made directly to the Calgary Humane Society, 4455 110 Ave S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7 or Dreams Take Flight, c/o Air Canada, PO Box 102, 2000 Airport Road N.E., Calgary AB T2W 6W5.
