Vera Beatrice Myers

Vera Beatrice Myers passed away peacefully in Calgary, AB on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the age of 89 years. Vera is survived by her sons Arthur (Dorothy) Myers of Calgary, G. Louis (Denise) Myers of Milo and Murray (Janice) Myers of Calgary; daughter Betty Lou (Stewart) Whaley of Milo; 11 grandchildren, Steven (Rissa) Myers, Michael (Heather) Myers, Robert Myers, Gerald Colegrave, Gary Myers, Gabrielle (Brian) Erickson, Douglas Myers, Jeremy Myers, Rochelle Marshall, Tammy (Mike) Bell and Chris (Crystal) Willis; and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, sister-in-law and three brothers, numerous nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her husband, Louis Myers in March of 1976, her parents, a sister and two brothers. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice. A special thank you to the staff at Rocky View Hospital and Extendicare Cedars Villa Nursing Home for the care Vera received.
