Vera Ho passed away peacefully at the Santuari Hospice at Peter Lougheed Centre on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the age of 66 years. Vera was a retired seamstress and lifelong craftsperson. She emigrated from Hong Kong in 1972 and settled in Calgary. She attended and was actively involved with Beddington Pentecostal Church. In retirement, Vera enjoyed volunteering, exercising, and exploring the city on foot and by bus. She proudly took her friends to events like the Calgary Stampede and Calgary Korean Day Festival. But most of all, she was a master at arts and crafts, sharing her creations and her knowledge with others in Calgary and beyond. Vera leaves behind two children: William Ho of Vancouver and Joyce Ahonen (husband Scott) of Vancouver. Vera is also survived by brother Raymond Ng of Bellingham, Washington. She was predeceased by her parents Lun Ng and Pu Ying Ng of Honolulu. The family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Units 42 and 49 at Peter Lougheed Centre, 3500 - 26 Avenue NE. Those wishing to pay respects to Vera may do so at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 - 4 Street NW, Calgary, AB (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, March 26, 2015at 10:00 am with the Pastor Mark Williams of Beddington Pentecostal Church officiating.
