Ursula Renate Struc

June 20, 1934 – April 25, 2013

Ursula passed away peacefully in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on Thursday, April 25th, 2013 at the age of 78 years surrounded by her loving family. Ursula will be deeply missed by her daughter Irene (Jason); son Nico (Masumi); and her grandsons Luke and Noah. She will also be missed by the father of her children and former husband, Roman Struc. She is also survived by her family in Germany; her sister Ina, and brothers Peter and Ulrich. Born and raised in Germany, her life's journey took her from Europe to North America, where she raised her family. Throughout her life, she pursued her academic and personal interests

with great passion. Ursula discovered and shared the beauty of the nearby Bowmont Park in her daily walks and through her paintings and sketches and was well liked in her community. In our shared appreciation of Calgary’s natural parks, the family will be dedicating a park bench in her memory. A Service of Remembrance will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.
