Ursula Brunner nee Regehr passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022, at South Health Campus in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 94 years. She is leaving behind her children Gisela Higton, Frank (Bev), Jeff (Karen); grandchildren Richelle (Doug), Jackie (Gary), Amy (Scott), Pam (Greg), Tanya and Erik; great-grandchildren Emma, Evan, Jace, and Eli; sister-in-law Friederike. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Brunner and her brother Karl Heinz Regehr. Her father Ernst Regehr was born on October 12, 1897, in Ruckenau, Danzig, passed away January 16, 1983, in Calgary, Alberta, and her mother Kate Regehr (Wiebe) was born on November 16, 1901, in Stuba, Danzig, and passed away on February 8, 1997, in Calgary, Alberta.
Ursula was born in Ruckenau, Danzig, on April 27, 1928. Displaced by the war, Ursula soon found purpose in training as nurse and working in a children’s hospital in Hamburg, Germany, where she met and married Frank. In 1952 they immigrated to Canada and enjoyed a long-fulfilled life in Calgary.
The family wants to thank everyone at Age Care Midnapore for over 14 years of friendship and companionship.
A private family service will be held in the spring.
