Susan Margaret Sutherland

Our beloved and cherished sister, sister-in-law, and aunt died peacefully Monday, January 28, 2013 after a courageous struggle. Susan was a nurse, a teacher, a watercolor painter, a master knitter, a decorator, a book club enthusiast, and a good friend. She will be greatly missed by her sisters and their families: Elizabeth and George Johnson and children Sarah (and partner Adam Lamb), Claire, Anna and dog Cooper; Nancy and Bryan Way and children Laura (and fiancé Greg Doram) and John. Our thanks are extended for the many kindnesses from friends, family and colleagues and the caring and compassionate teams in the ICU (Pod A) and Unit 10 at the Foothills Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Calgary Health Trust, Foothills Medical Centre, Grateful Families and Grateful Patients Programmes, 800-11012 Macleod Trail S.E., Calgary, AB T2J 6A5. Cremation in care of FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL. A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at 728 Country Hills Road N.W., Calgary, AB.
