Steve Lemecha of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully at his home, as he wished, on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the age of 80 years. Steve was born in Elk Point, AB and worked 26 years for ATCO Gas. He will be remembered as a kind hearted guy who tried to act gruff. He is survived by two daughters Judy (Dan) Lemecha and Kathy (Jeff) Brown as well as step children James (Heather) Lewis, Wayne (Barb) Lewis, Gail (Al) Robertson, and Reno (Shirley) Lewis and many grandchildren. Steve has two sisters Mildred Dunham and Elsie (Clarence) Tilley as well as many nieces and nephews. Steve will be joining his wife Marie and son Allan both who predeceased him in 2009. The family would like to recognize the special care and bond of granddaughters Belinda Eagles and Paige Lemecha. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, February 21 at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL on Friday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
