Stephanie Kress

Stephanie Kress passed away peacefully at the George Boyack Care Centre in Calgary, AB on Sunday February 1, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Stephanie was born in Krakow, Poland to Jon and Marja Wiesek, she immigrated to Toronto, Canada after WWII where her employment as a nanny moved her to Calgary. She later moved to food services at the Calgary Winter Club, and then decided to stay home for the family. Stephanie will be missed for her kindness, stories, green thumb and afternoon ice cream floats. Family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Stephanie’s life on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery). Stephanie will be deeply missed by her husband Rudolph “Rudy” Kress; children Laurie Anderson (Ross) and Sue Kress; grandchildren; Kyla Anderson, (Corey Maetche), and Kurtis Anderson. Our family would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the staff and residents at George Boyack who also cared for her during these last months.
