It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stella Morin, age 100 years, at the Bethany Care Facility in Airdrie, AB on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Stella was born and raised in the small farming community of Candiac, SK. Her early life was filled with the activities related to the early past century. She shared those times with her sisters and brothers, Edward, Joseph, Jean and Joan Rosicki, along with parents Tony and Rose Rosicki. Candiac is also where she met and married her husband Gerard Marcel Morin. She loved music and dancing for all of her life, and could always be found with a radio beside her or playing somewhere in our homes. Stella was also raised in the Roman Catholic faith and carried those values during her entire lifetime, including her final days. She was a woman of much love and compassion to all around her. Above all, she was a loved matriarch to her immediate family and will be dearly missed. Stella is survived by her only remaining sister, Joan (Frank – deceased) Stulberg. She was a loving mother of Joan (Chas) MacDonald, Richard (Tracy) Morin, Roger (Beverly) Morin, Robert (Susan) Morin and Marc (Sandra) Morin. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Airdrie Bethany Care Facility, 1736 - 1 Ave NW, Airdrie, AB T4B 2C4.
