Svetoslav (Slavko) Perovich passed away peacefully on January 15, 2014 at Signal Pointe Nursing Home in Calgary at the age of 95 years. Slavko is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his son, Milan (Eva), his sister Slavica Lovrek, brother Vlado Perovich and all his nephews and nieces in Canada and Croatia. He was predeceased by his wife Mary and his son Danny.
Slavko came to Canada in 1957 and worked all his life for the betterment of his immediate family and helped numerous family members that arrived in Canada at a later date. He was a master cabinet maker, who had his own business in Ontario for many years, creating both beautiful and functional pieces of furniture during his lifetime. Family was the most important thing in Slavko’s life and he will be missed by all.
A Funeral Service will be held at St Mary’s Cathedral (219 - 18 Avenue SW, Calgary) on Friday January 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Reception will follow at The Ranchmen’s Club (710 - 13 Avenue SW).
