Sally Bergstrom

June 18, 1923 – September 12, 2013

Sally Bergstrom passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital with her family by her side in Calgary, AB on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the age of 90 years.

She is sadly missed by her children, Barry (Jill) Bergstrom, Bev (Andy) Fraser, Bonnie (Bill) De Boer, Brenda (Bruce) Taylor; grandchildren, Kyle, Tristan, Keelyn, Geoff, Tim, Robbie, Jocelyn and Christina as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sally was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry, in 2009. They were very involved in the First Baptist Church and later attended Northmount Baptist Church. She volunteered in the PC and Reform Parties and was actively engaged with Habitat for Humanity. Sally was a loving mother and doting grandma. She always had time for helping others and was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Miles and the nursing staff on Unit 72 for their compassionate care.

A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Salvation Army, 9618 - 101A Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5H 0C7 or Samaritan’s Purse Canada, 20 Hopewell Way N.E., Calgary, Alberta T3J 5H5.
