It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roy Carlson on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Calgary, AB. Roy was predeceased by his wife, Hilde, and leaves behind him children Cally (Mario, Giles, Christophe) and Thom (Genga, Kasia, Liven). He loved his Engineers’ groups and the Scandinavian Centre. Roy was very inventive and creative and loved tinkering in his shop. He enjoyed travelling to Europe and China with Hilde. Roy will be truly missed by his family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Calgary, 201, 222-58 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2S3.
