Roselyn E. Stevens

Roselyn, our beloved mother, transitioned peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday morning, March 28, 2022 surrounded by her children Maxine (and her husband Andy), Dwayne, as well as her grandchildren Fabian and Jordana (and her husband Andrew).

Rose, as she was affectionately known, was born in Jamaica, West Indies on May 6, 1938 to Gretel Perrin and Nathaniel McFarlane. She moved to Montreal, Quebec and made Calgary her home many years ago.

Rose will be remembered by her loyal family and friends. Her dedication to God became the most important aspect of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Maxine Richard and her husband Andy Richard, Dianne Lee and her husband Craig Lee, Juliet Banks, as well as Dwayne Barrett, her only son. Her seven grandchildren are Jordana, Fabian, CJ Lee, Malia, James, Japhet and Jahniah. She has one great granddaughter Victoire Sanders. She is also survived by her siblings Lloyd, Hiram, Nola, Glanville, Veta, Vincent, Kingsley, and Fredrick, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was well loved by many. Rose was predeceased by her brother Sylvester.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Calgary Bridgeland Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 48 12 Street NE, Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, with viewing commencing at 11:00 AM, and the service at noon. Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery at 3219 4 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta.
