Robert Craig Wilkinson

R.C. “Bob” Wilkinson passed away to be with his Lord on November 26, 2015. He will be dearly missed by his son Rob (Pam); daughter Sandi Warnke (Glen); four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and his brother Bruce (Myrna) and families of Edmonton. He was predeceased by his parents Florence and the Reverend William Wilkinson in 1974 and by his loving wife of 61 years, Marguerite Anne in 2014.

Born in Vanguard, Saskatchewan on March 4, 1930, Bob moved to Calgary in June 1950 after earning a Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan. His favourite hobby was flying, which he did for thirty five years, and was the founding president of The Western Warbirds, a club of up to one hundred mostly World War II ex-military aircraft and performed at airshows throughout western Canada and north-western United States.

A Memorial Service will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
