Robert Harold Pollock, aged 82 years of Saskatoon passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 28th, 2016 surrounded by his brother and sister-in- law and a niece and nephew. Bob was born August 12th, 1933 at Gull Lake, SK. He was the eldest son of James Elgin Pollock and Dorothy May Montgomery, Bob also had 3 siblings Doreen Ozem (deceased), Deanna Krislock (now living in Vernon close to her daughter) and Ronald Pollock (of Saskatoon). Bob commenced his employment with CPR office in 1953. He worked in several stations in Alberta and his last posting was in Calgary until retirement in 1988. Bob met the love of his life who became his future wife, Mary Scott. Bob and Mary were married on March 8th, 1975, they had no children of their own. Mary passed away on December 29th, 2003. Bob relocated to Saskatoon in 2006 and lived in Park Town Manor, a retirement home, until 2011. Bob had a beautiful 6 years and made many friends. Bob became ill in 2013 and resided in a long term care facility (Extendicare) and again enjoyed himself and had friends to play card games and trips into the community. He became ill again a few months ago and became bed ridden and passed away peacefully and quietly. A gathering of remembrance for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 7PM-9PM at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Dr., Saskatoon). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2PM from Foster’s Garden Chapel (3220 4th St. NW, Calgary, AB; across from Queen’s Park Cemetery).
