Rob and Dawn I am so sorry to here of Bobs passing ,I was just telling my daughter Kehna how good your Mom and Dad were to me in Edmonton . My husband Gary enjoyed golfing with Bob when he was in Edmonton on business . Last year was the first year that I did not receive a xmas card from your Dad .I am in shock I was just going through the Paper tonight when I saw the anouncement.Your Dad was a great guy he made the best Tom Colins .Our thoughts to your family at this difficult time I understand how difficult this is especially at this time of the year ,we lost my Mom last year on boxing day . I had the honor of playing many rounds of golf with Bob in which I will never forget.Spent many Wednesday evenings talking till always late.He was a good friend of mine and will be sadly missed.

I first met Bob on the NASA golf tour about 15 years ago.  Since that time I have shared many golf rounds and conversations ---- Bob was a good listener, knowledgeable and funny !!  He kept my wife (Pamela) and I in total 
laughter over breakfast one time describing his adventures of "bumped" flights from Edmonton to Santa Barbara, CA  On another occasion I was having breakfast and talking with the server at the Quality Inn in Lompoc, CA
when Bob walked by.  The server inquired if he (Bob) was my brother  -- I asked what made her think that!   Her reply;  well, your both tall, slim, glasses, somewhat distinguished, (emphasis on the somewhat) and have hair !!   From that day forward it was always my "Brother Bob" !  Bob also had a healthy appetitite --- He & I were flying back to Edmonton from a golf trip to Ca.  We got bumped overnight in Vancouver.  Before bed, we stopped at a restraurant.  Bob had a full hot meal, I had a sandwich.  After polishing off the hot meal he then proceeded to eat the other half of my sandwich.  This was about midnite !!      
 Every year Bob would show his careing attitude by soliticing prizes for the NASA Gollf Tour.  I guess Bob Jr was as generous as his Dad cause that's where the prizes came from.
Bob & I would occasionally meet for coffee most often during during winter.
I was always amazed how much time would elapse so quickly (2-3 hours) without realizing it.   He was certainly a stimulating conversationalist !!  
I regret not seeing Bob for the past year or so!   He was a great friend  --- I will really miss him !

I was sad to hear of Bob's passing. I shared many an enjoyable round of golf with Bob at the Riverside Golf Course in Edmonton (Bob was an active member and past president of the Riverside Mens' Club) I saw improvement in Bob's game, over the years, but his handicap never got low enough that he wasn't competitive. It is rumored that Bob once played one season using the same golf ball. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. Bob Wyllie
