She was born on December 4, 1925 in Montague, Prince Edward Island and remained an islander all her life.
Her two vocations in her life were nursing and her family.

Also left with wonderful memories are her nine grandchildren and her seven great-grandchildren, Leah (Shane, great-grandchildren Zadak and Verity) Mottishaw, Diana (Lucas great-grandchild Evan) Roberts, Laura Lim, Andrew Lim, Marshall Harris, Nicole Harris, Michael (Richelle great-grandchild Zoey) Harris, Vicky Lucking, Andrew (Chesa great-grandchildren Rhian, Timber, and Kolbie) Lucking.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and excellent care Rena received at the Edgemont Revera in Calgary in her time there as a resident and especially in the last three weeks. She was able to stay at home until the end.
