She is survived by her daughter Coreen (Bernard), son Steven (Elizabeth) and an honourary daughter; Jenny (Dennis). She is also survived by her sister Tammy (Roger). She leaves behind four grandchildren, Chris (Jody), Jennifer (Gunnar), Kimberlee and Matthew (Amber), 4 and three-quarters great-grandchildren, as well as her fur-baby Timber.
She was predeceased by her parents; Charlie and Ruth, her husband of 58 years; Major Douglas L. Atkins, as well as her youngest sister Kerry.
Born in Saskatoon, SK., Peppy was the eldest daughter of Charlie and Ruth. Peppy was a wartime baby. She was raised in Chiliwack, Coquitlam and New Westminster, B.C. She travelled and lived throughout Canada and the world, as both a proud RCAF wife and a veteran of the RCAF herself. She also had a long career in nursing.
She will be remembered by her huge circle of friends and neighbours throughout the world, the friends in her local senior's community, as well as the beloved pet owners of the TsuuTina off-leash area, all to whom the family would like to say a special thanks.
Peppy has already been cremated, but in tribute to her Peppy asks that you raise a toast of your favourite glass (or two) of wine.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to your favourite animal charity. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
