Pauline Wade passed away peacefully at the South Health Campus on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the age of 78 years. Born in Kingston, Ontario, she spent most of her youth on Wolfe Island with her parents and three sisters. She worked at Kingston General Hospital in Pediatrics and the ECG department until her marriage. The family lived overseas and on the east coast before eventually settling in Calgary. Pauline then worked as a nursing assistant at Sarcee Nursing Home for 23 years before retiring.
Pauline is survived by her husband of 58 years Fred Wade; daughters Elizabeth Wade and Catherine Wade; and son Fred (Nancy) Wade. Beloved grandmother of Joshua (Stephanie) Wade and Beth Wade (Kirby Lawrence); and great-grandchildren Korbin, Rube and Jackson. Dear sister of Jean (Lloyd) Myers. She was predeceased by parents Edward and Norma Edwards, sisters Joan Edwards and Noreen Dinsey (née Edwards). Pauline will be missed by her sister-in-laws Dorothy MacKenzie and Geraldine Wade and many nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held at SOUTH CALGARY FUNERAL CENTRE, 12700 Macleod Trail South (at Lake Fraser Gate), on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mustard Seed and Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society or charity of your choice.
